Questions and answers regarding the RFP are below:

1. What level of design drawings are expected at the bid opening?

A Schematic plan will be sufficient for proposal.  More detailed construction drawings should be provided after award and consultation.

2. Will a CAD file for the site be provided to assist with the design?

No, we do not have a CAD file at this time

3. Is the Land Bank going to process and pay for all permits and fees?

No, Permits and fees should be included in the proposal, if needed

4. Will all or parts of the site be expected to be irrigated?

We do not plan on installing permanent irrigation on the site.  An active Water Source will be provided near the rear of the greenhouse to provide temporary irrigation during plant establishment.

5. Is site lighting going to be a part of this project if so, will it be line voltage or low voltage?

We do not need lighting plans for alternate #1 and #2.  For the main proposal, a lighting plan should be provided sufficient enough to allow safe passage of visitors after evening events.  Lighting could be as simple as path markings.  Some form of lighting around the central seating/patio  is desirable as well.  . It is anticipated that flood light may be installed at the barn or on the new construction, thus flood lighting does not need to be a part of this proposal.  Proposals for accent lighting to highlight landscape elements are welcome, but not required. Costs should be provided for standard line voltage.  We would like a separate price for low voltage as an additional if possible.

6. Is there some flexibility in the schedule for both design and construction?

This project is time critical, however there is room for some flexibility.  We would like the project to be completed by Mid November.  The project MUST be completed by the end of November.  Once awarded, final design drawings should be completed no later than October 15st, with the firm prepared to initiate construction as soon as possible thereafter.
